Yes, this game, Dragon Warrior II is taking me ages to beat. One might say a Dragon’s Age, if one were to make a bad pun referring to a current console’s RPG. Anyhow, I’m working my way to the end of this behemoth of a game on the original NES. It’s a lot larger than Dragon Warrior, thus taking more time to explore, plus my free time isn’t what it used to be. So far these are the enemies I’ve defeated, drawn and inked, then scanned and coloured for your viewing pleasure. I’m working on my next batch, as well as some other comics.
Here she is, the princess you must save in Dragon Warrior for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Our fair maiden has been kidnapped from her home by the evil Dragon Lord (oh is he evil alright!) He doesn’t kidnap her to marry her, or even give her a smooch out of some misplaced affection. He just downright takes her and locks her up in a dank dark cave guarded by a Green Dragon (of the fire breathing variety) who she has no hope of defeating, and thus no hope for escape. Well, she does have one hope really, you, the decendent of Erdrick to brave the dark cave and slay the dragon. I know you’re up for the challange. Dragon Warrior came out in America circa 1989. This is one of my favorite games for the NES.
